Every year growing up, my favorite day of school was Halloween. I was always excited to show off my costume and see what my peers conjured up as well. I loved the change in schedule for the day and, of course, the massive amount of candy that I received and consumed. Another characteristic that I always associated with Halloween was getting the annual UNICEF box. Every year my teacher would hand out flat, orange pieces of cardboard and then proceed to talk about the importance of education and how lucky we were. Our teacher asked that when we were to go trick-or-treating to also bring that small orange rectangular box with us and ask for money to donate to UNICEF.
